Job Summary:

The Assistant Swim Coach assists the head coach in organizing the Swimming program, conducting practices, motivating athletes, and instructing them in strategies and techniques. Your passion for swimming and dedication to helping individuals achieve their goals will be key in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct athletes on rules, regulations, and techniques under the guidance of the USA Swimming rules.
• Organize and lead individual and group practices as directed by the Head Swim Coach.
• Assess swimmer’s skills, monitor athletes during competition and practice, and report to the head coach.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.
• Communicate practice changes, pool closures, and upcoming activities to athletes and guardians.
• Submit regular and accurate time and expense reports.
• Enforce facility and team rules.
• Act as Head Swim Coach when necessary.
• Collaborate with the board of directors.
• Complete all required training and certification per USA Swimming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• USA Swimming Coaching Certification
• 1 or more years of club, high school, or college swim coaching experience prefered
• High school diploma or equivalent
